Capacity Building

Reaching your target community, especially enrolling families early in pregnancy, is one of the most important tasks of a HFNY program. The factors related to capacity building are often complex, and may look very different across the state depending on the landscape of services and unique community qualities and culture. Some key elements of building capacity include cultivating referral sources and community relationships, building and maintaining advisory groups, and utilizing the HFNY MIS.
